It was as a physical game from the off, as both sets of lads got stuck into each other.

The game was played around the centre circle until we get the first chance of the match. Darius Willetts splitting the defence on 14 minutes with a perfect through ball for Jack West, who hits it straight at the keeper.
4 minutes later Callum Pattison's goal line clearance keeps the game level.
Darius Willetts tries a 20 yarder but is saved easily by the keeper on 22 minutes as we fail to convert another chance.
Just before the interval, Joe Crichton forces a save from a free kick 25 yards out.

We go into half time level but should be in front, but just can’t get that opening goal.

We take the lead on 53 minutes as Chris Rant sends in a free kick from the right, Darius Willetts rising the highest to head into the top far corner 1-0

It gets a little more physical as both teams continue to search for that next important goal. Which comes in spectacular fashion on 66 minutes, with the opposition striker hitting a 30 yard thunderbolt into the top corner 1-1

Tom Ellis gets our 1st booking of the season with a frustrated shove on the opposition’s defender.
Jordan Mumford makes a few saves after and we get a few half chances but the game ends in a draw, which I think we were slightly the better side, but not by much.

Tom Ray gets The Man of The Match for the 2nd time in 3 games and Keenan Johnson takes home The Effort Award for the 2nd week running (awarded by Owen's Mum)

3 weeks until our next league match against the top of the league, and we need a better showing than we had today if we want to take any points away from that one.
